Value Chain Analysis
Our staff draw on their considerable local expertise in the analysis of agricultural value chains, structure and governance. We pursue innovative, deliberate and well thought out strategies to resolve the real-time / real-impact issues faced by key stakeholders; smallholder farmers, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and poor communities, to both build and improve their segments of the value chain.
We offer agricultural value chain and marketing expertise for the following products:

- Livestock Systems (ruminants and all types of monogastrics)

Policy Analysis
Our policy studies have consistently formed the basis for loan processing by international donors. We offer detailed policy analysis and sector-based studies for agricultural and rural development.
Agribusiness Development
ADI staff have particular experience in developing and undertaking studies for Commercial Agriculture, Agribusiness Development, Agro-industry and Post-harvest Systems in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Viet Nam and Zambia.
Field Survey and Data Analysis
We know our stakeholders because we talk to them. ADI staff have exceptional abilities in developing and conducting quantitative and qualitative surveys followed by a comprehensive analysis and interpretation of the assembled data. Our survey participants encompass households, producers, processors, traders, agro-enterprises, SOE, retailers, exporters and farmer groups.
Participatory Rural Appraisal and Qualitative Analysis
Delivering strong Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) studies and Qualitative analysis of smallholder farming systems continue to be a mainstay of ADI projects. Our training and capacity building methods for PRA and Participatory Monitoring & Evaluation (PM&E) are second to none.
Capacity Development and Training
Our staff have designed and delivered tailored and specific training courses to government agencies, research institutes and international organizations. Topics have ranged from survey design, implementation and analysis, to economic theory, policy or uses of modeling software.
